This course is designed to train students to provide CPR with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by learning a hands-on technique and skills on adult, child, and infant manikins.
This course is designed for anyone with little or no experience. CPR/ AED and First Aid basics, medical emergencies, preventing illness and injuries.
This course is designed to teach about injury prevention as well as knowing how to use a first aid kit properly. This course will teach about medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and injury emergencies. The course is taught in combination to the CPR, choking, and AED for non-healthcare provider course.
The audience for this course are nursing students, nurses, NP/PAs, EKG techs, and paramedics looking to brush up on EKG/ECG rhythms. This is for students ages 11 and older, and includes topics such as choosing age-appropriate activities, basic child care, like bottle feeding, child behavior, leadership, professionalism, safety, starting a babysitting business, and more. The course includes Babysitter’s certificate and Babysitter’s Training Kit for Students (includes a First Aid Kit and drawstring backpack).
This course is through the American Red Cross. This class is very similar to the basic Babysitter’s Training course with add-ons of pediatric First Aid along with CPR training.
